Embarking on an Adventure: Sharing Life's Colorful Moments

Hey there! Welcome to my little corner of the web, where I’m excited to share the colorful canvas of my life—a blend of creativity, technology, and the simple joys of everyday adventures.

I’m Bethany, a storyteller at heart, an explorer of new places, and a dedicated photographer who prefers the convenience of my trusty iPhone for capturing those spontaneous, magical moments. Whether it’s a golden sunset over the horizon or the infectious giggles of my "big buddy and little buddy" (yes, that's definitely a Kwik Trip reference, for you fellow Midwesterners!) as we explore our Midwest surroundings, every snapshot tells a tale of joy and wonder.

Beyond photography, I find immense joy in the enchanting realms of Disney and the innovative spirit of Apple. These passions aren’t just hobbies but integral parts of how I experience and share the world around me.

My career journey began with 13 rewarding years teaching art at all levels, from wide-eyed kindergarteners to creative high schoolers. Now, as a technology integration specialist, I help educators blend creativity with cutting-edge tools, making learning a vibrant and interactive experience.

​

In addition to my work in education, I’m a trained graphic designer and currently lend my skills as a design consultant at a local photography studio. It’s a role that allows me to fuse my love for design with my creativity, while keeping my skills fine-tuned. Beyond the studio, you’ll find me managing a small Etsy shop, where I share some photography and design creations. It’s a space where I get to express my creativity freely, offering digital treasures and artistic pieces that reflect my love for art and technology.

Speaking of the digital front, I wear another hat as the social media manager for a local festival. With nearly 10,000 followers, I strive to capture the spirit of our community events and share the excitement with everyone who joins us.

Life as a military wife adds its own unique adventures and challenges to our journey, shaping our family’s story in unexpected ways. Through it all, we cherish the moments we capture together, creating memories that are as vibrant as the photos we love to share.

I'm also a huge fan of the Keto lifestyle, and love sharing my journey with others. When I embarked on Keto, I was at the point where I felt like looking in the mirror I no longer saw "me." After having one kiddo I felt like it was time to get healthy, and decided dive in and do it! I started what was a 2 week plan, and stuck with it for almost a year, losing 40 pounds in the process! Now, another kiddo later, I am in what I refer to as "Keto maintenance." I have a goal range, and when I hit the top, I Keto my way back to the bottom. I'm happy to share the ups and downs of this adventure (along with the tasty discoveries I've made along the way!) with anyone looking for a change, though it's important to note I am NO expert, and you should talk to a doctor before making any major lifestyle/diet change.
